Wow this place is incredible!!! We went the day before New Year’s Eve and it was amazing! Best chicken parm I’ve ever had with vodka sauce ! Their pasta is homemade it’s delicious! My whole family enjoyed their meals and are looking forward to coming back!!! 10/10 Love
Romantic and cozy atmosphere with generous portions! The Arincini was delicious: would highly recommend this appetizer! The Chicken Parmesan was flavorful and there was so much chicken! Service was attentive and very talkative. Felt very homey!
We found this place last year as it was walking distance from the hotel we were staying at. Loved it last year and came back again this year. We were early for dinner so we walked around the North End a bit before heading over. We walked around line after line on the main street restaurants. La Summa is down an unassuming side street off the main street and had zero wait, although we did have a reservation both times. Dinner both times was fantastic! From the salad to the mains and adjusting my husband's veal parm to add prosciutto, perfection. While they don't have a full bar, they do seem to have wine, beer and enough specialty drinks to make everyone happy. Cannot wait to come back again!
I went here with my boyfriend on New Year’s Eve to kill time before fireworks. Last time I’d been was when I was in college in Boston. Fantastic place to eat, amazing food you’ll never forget and a charming and romantic atmosphere.
Walking in to La Summa feels like walking into an Italian Nonna's home. Its cozy, romantic, and intimate atmosphere invites you to sit down and enjoy the vibes. Wind down with a cocktail or some wine and enjoy a bread basket while listening to Frank Sinatra on the speakers or their own Italian musician (call for days and times) singing to the crowd. Feast on Italian favorites like bruschetta caprese, gnocci, meatballs, fusilli, and manicotti or try an evening special.
My boyfriend raved about the tagliatelle polpette, and I had a shrimp and scampi special. It was the empitome of "delicioso" and "magifico" (said with your best Italian accent and 🤌🤌🤌)
Our hostess and server were very welcoming and warm. Our gostess sat us a little before our reservation time as we showed up early. Our server answered any questions we had and gave us recommendations. She was an absolute delight!
I also want to note that it is more economical than other restaurants in the area. The quality, flavor, and portions you get at La Summa can not be beat anywhere on the North End.
As for parking, just like anywhere on the North End, it can be a challenge, but the Haymarket and North end stations are nearby. Also, make sure to make reservations because it fills up quickly!
is the perfect date spot and full of locals! We'll definitely be repeat customers! La Summa is the perfect date spot and full of locals! We'll definitely be repeat customers! Grazie La Summa per la bellissima serata!
Great spot for affordable Italian cuisine on the north end. Nice place for a first date or a small business dinner.
Closed Mondays- forgot about the Main Street. It’s packed you have to wait in line. J/k those restaurants are good but this one has been so goo to us! One of our top family places to eat! Not sure if they remember us there but anytime we have family fly in or visit we take them there! Every dish is made with love! The espresso and pistachio drink omg!!!! So worth it! Nice cozy place place to take the family or have a romantic night out! Our top choice in the north end. To owner and our nephew hit it off and ever since then we loved it even more. Rip Mrs. B. Summa. We love the food, the culture and the legacy you left for us to love and enjoy. Thank you!
Amazing restaurant! We ordered the pappardelle e melanzane and the salsiccia - italian sausage, both plates were delicious. The service is always fantastic and they have delicious drinks and desserts. If you are in the North End, LA Summa is a must!
